What I would like to have/do differently (if I would be
the Sonex CEO)
- modify fuse length/tail surfaces/CG in such a way that the airplane
gains positive pitch stability
- offer a documentation pack which contains all calculations required
for registration in EU-countries
- allow for engines of up to 250lbs (so that the Subaru or O200 or whatever
automotive conversion could be used)
- offer an FFWD kit for the Rotax 912(S)
- offer a silencer/noise reduction option to receive German 'blue angle'
reward (which would allow flying on sundays and public holidays)
- offer full-swivel tailwheel option and hydraulic differential toe-breaks
- offer wing-fueltanks
- install a proper vertical instrument panel with space for all of the
usual VFR instruments (including gyros)
- have a forward tilt/sliding canopy option so that passengers can enter
from both sides, have real/contoured seats
- offer an emergency parachute rescue system (required for all EU ultralights)
- offer a horizontally split cowling
- offer one-piece fuse bulkheads (best with slightly rounded sidewalls
to increase buckling resistgance)
- include step-by-step (Video, CD-R, printed or whatever) building instructions
- open a German/EU support/sales center
- offer a 'metric' version (all bolts, nuts metric)
list is ordered with topmost entry the most significant (in
my very egozentric point of view)
